Because I have subscribers from all parts of the world and now realize they cannot always obtain the books I want to review, I will not abandon my ebook offerings as I add the reviews to the blog. Therefore, stay tuned for both book reviews and ebooks (which will vary in length).
As promised, I recently added the first book review of several planned for this blog to help my readers contend for the health promised us by the Word of God. This review recommends a book I found essential for changing my prayer from wistful to powerful. I plan to share more reviews of books that I found powerful as I recently overcame a terrible counterattack on my health.
Each person must contend aggressively for their healing and health because, as Paul said, “We fight against the principalities and powers and rulers of darkness of this world.” So I hope you will study the reviewed books if you can. But I will not abandon offering my own summaries and insights since so many have asked for these.
Prayer is THE single most important element of faith-filled health and HOW we pray is a critical part of healing because it releases power and authority that Jesus bought and paid for with His own body and blood. At no place in Scripture are we admonished to beg God to heal us and our loved ones. Jesus never modeled such prayer of petition. He used His God-given authority and He established that authority in us–authority over the “principalities” Paul references.
Praying in a way that “seems right since God is omnipotent” can be powerless. Praying in the way God’s Word teaches us to pray is powerful. We must not waste what Jesus paid so dearly to provide us. I urge you to consider this book IF your prayer of petition is not bearing fruit.
My first review looks at Charles Capps’ book: Releasing the Ability of God Through Prayer. Read the review on the BLOG page or click the link: Review
